Denise has close to two decade of experience as a manger and senior leader of managers and teams. She now works with leaders to address, solve and overcome challenges. Her clients have found that spending time with her makes a tremendous difference in performance, confidence and personal satisfaction. After earning her MBA from UNC’s Kenan Flagler Business School, Denise’s joined Bank of America where her strong quantitative skills allowed her to evaluate business’ financial strategies and make recommendations that would support the business’ strategy. After rising to the level of Senior Vice President, she was recruited away from banking to lead a start up that rebranded specialty retail. Her duties included securing and renovating real estate, hiring and training employees, developing budgets, creating workable and affordable marketing plans, and managing operations, all on a start up’s shoestring budget. She has additional experience working with mid-career professionals in career transitions.

Denise learned firsthand how leaders are pulled in many directions and have to use speed and gut instinct in decision making to tackle the issues they face. When problems don’t get resolved, the energy for strategy and growth gets drained away. Denise supports her clients by offering the time and support needed to generate new ideas, and provides feedback to bring perspective and guidance towards new, workable solutions. Her clients reclaim and/or accelerate their excitement and enthusiasm that propels their work forward in positive and productive ways. Denise is an International Coach Federation (ICF) credentialed coach, and provides coaching for the University of North Carolina’s Kenan Flagler Executive Education Programs, Duke University’s Leadership Program and for RTI International.
