About the Conference

The 5th Annual Planning for Healthy Communities Conference is going to be bigger and better than ever before. We are reaching across state lines this year and encouraging planners, public health officials, park and recreationprofessionals, city and county managers, and elected officials from North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee to join us.

We have also asked national and regional experts to share their knowledge and local practitioners to provide examples of promoting health equity, Health in All Policies, securing access to healthy foods, supporting active living, creative health department initiatives, statewide collaborative efforts, healthy housing, transportation, and economic development, and much more.
